Celebrating Our Stories - post WW2 Displaced Persons who settled in New Zealand 

17 and 18 October 2026, Palmerston North and Pahīatua, New Zealand

This is brought to you by the Untold Stories project, Palmerston North

This event is for displaced persons, their descendants, researchers and all interested in this era of New Zealand history. The gathering is conference-like in Palmerston North, and in Pahīatua it will be commemorative as we will visit the camp site (now a farmer’s field and airstrip), the marae and the museum. This is the first national gathering for this diaspora.
